What is your day job?
I am a freelance entertainer.Much of my time is spent thinking of new ways to make people laugh, think and question. Sometimes I can be found on the largest cruise ship in the world, walking on stilts or juggling or roaming around as a crazy character. Other times you can find me hanging out with the cool kids who are apart of The Bindlestiff Family Circus (yippee,
sideshow and burlesque back in times square!!). In the summer it's all about Circus Amok! Look out for this troupe of clowns in a park near you.

When did you know you were a New Yorker?
It was June of 1994, my first day in New York City. I was in a cab
stuck in traffic, somewhere in the West Village near Washington Square Park. After watching the meter in the cab continue to get higher, while not moving an inch, I finally asked the cab driver what was going on. He told me that
the "gay people" were marching and that we were stuck until the parade moved. so I got out of the car and walked across the park, joined the parade up 5th avenue all the way to Central Park. It was one of the most amazing days of my life. until then, I didn't know there were so many gays.

How do you cope with stress in the city?
I am broke as hell. I still strive to make something of My one person show called The Mammy Project.
More than ever, I feel that my purpose is to break stereotypes that are so ingrained into our American culture. Getting people to think outside of the circle is my challenge. New York has been everything and nothing to me over the past 8 years. I am now ready for New York to be something.
